Behind the camera
I am Lex.
I photograph the moment you nearly missed.
I am a New York City photographer, and most of my work happens in the few seconds when people forget there is a camera at all. A proposal, a first look, a mother seeing her daughter in a dress — I am watching for the reaction, not the pose.
Before that, I help you choose the spot, work out the light and build a plan for keeping the surprise intact. Then I get out of your way.

Will she notice you?
Almost never. I arrive early, keep my distance and use a longer lens, so from where she is standing it looks like a stranger with a camera. If you want, we can plan a second angle or shoot the moment from further back.
What if it rains?
New York weather changes fast, so we agree on a backup spot and a backup time before the day. If we genuinely cannot shoot, we reschedule — the terms are agreed with you before booking, never after.
How far in advance should I book?
As soon as you have a date, especially for weekends in spring and autumn. If your plan is last-minute, message me anyway — I will tell you honestly what is possible.
When do I get the photos?
Sneak peeks within 24 hours so you can share the news. Your full edited gallery follows on the delivery schedule we confirm before you book.
Do you travel outside NYC?
I photograph weddings, corporate events and private celebrations in New York City and the surrounding area. Tell me where you are planning and I will confirm travel and any cost up front.
How do deposits and payment work?
Deposit amount, payment methods and the cancellation terms are confirmed in writing before you commit. Cash, check, PayPal, Venmo and Zelle are all accepted.
We are awkward in front of a camera.
That is most people, and it is completely fine. You do not need to pose. I will give you small directions when you need them and otherwise let you two be yourselves.
